A strange series of videos created by Texas A & M University that shows how to be healthy, inviting outdoor environments for older adults in residential settings recently acquired a supranational recognition of the American Society Landscape Architects.

The series of three DVDs, "access to category: planning outdoor space on Aging, created and directed by Susan Rodiek, associate professor of architecture at Texas A & M, won the honors in the category instruction of the 2010 ASLA Professional Award.

The awards are presented annually by the Selection Board "in the manner most appropriate projects in landscape architecture around the world" in the categories of general, residential design, analysis and planning, research and communication. In its April 27 announcement Give the ASLA in 2010 said jurors reviewed the largest copy of the entries in the history of the ASLA - 618 from 20 countries - before choosing the 49 winners give.

Rodiek video series shows how caregivers supported term and designers of the health facility can be connected to the health of older people at all levels of care through better access to appropriate settings.
